Beginner Korean learner here – I've been using Duolingo for 9 months now without much success, and have another workbook I purchased for Hangul practice, but haven't advanced to producing any sort of spoken Korean... this book is exactly what I needed! The lessons are easy to follow and provide a great variety of practice exercises after each chapter. It starts with a nice breakdown of Hangul, then some basic vocabulary before even thinking about throwing you into Korean grammar. And while it was a nice refresher of Hangul, the beginning can feel a little slow if you're looking for grammar only. However, the content is extensive! It covers plenty of material as it's meant to span 23 days of study. I'm a little slower in my pace, so I like to take time in between chapters to study and make sure I truly absorb the information before moving on. Reading through each chapter heading, and seeing how in-depth each chapter I've read so far is, I am super excited to finish this! I feel like by the time I get through the entire book I'll have the ability to start speaking Korean. Soon, I’ll be watching K-dramas without subtitles!
